The Editing pathway teaches students the creative, theoretical, and technical aspects of editing for film and video.
Students develop knowledge of montage theory, continuity and discontinuity systems, rhythm and pacing, and then apply these concepts as they craft compelling audiovisual stories. The courses cover basic editing techniques and advanced post-production workflows while exposing students to different editing styles and genres.
This pathway emphasizes hands-on experience using industry-standard software and tools. Students can also explore sound editing, visual effects, color correction, and scriptwriting. In addition to technical proficiency, the courses emphasize cinematic storytelling and media literacy. Upon completion, students are prepared for professional work in film and media post-production.
