Screenwriting

Screenwriting is where so much of the creative activity of filmmaking begins. The screenplay (or script) is the basis for any screen story, as it provides the plot, characters, and many other elements that will help to inspire and inform the creative choices of other artists like directors, cinematographers, producers, editors, and costume and production designers.

Film and Video Studies screenwriters practice this art and craft for various forms such as short films, feature films, and TV shows/serials, resulting in portfolios of writing that are directly transferrable to creative productions.
